APS6 Program Officer

Randstad is searching for a skilled and accomplished APS6 Program Officer who possesses a keen eye for detail and excels in their field. This role requires the ability to build and sustain strong relationships. About your new role

The APS6 Program Officer oversees essential workstreams, including program administration, budget tracking, stakeholder coordination, and monitoring and evaluation. To ensure program integrity, the officer tracks performance against the Performance Assessment Framework, analyzes evaluation data, and manages risk mitigation strategies. Additionally, the role requires strong analytical skills to interpret data, deliver evidence-based advice and conduct policy research that supports broader infrastructure goals.

What you will need to exceed

• Strong stakeholder engagement and clear, professional communication skills are essential. You must also have high-quality written communication skills for preparing briefs and reports.
• The role requires sound judgement and strong problem-solving capabilities to deliver high-quality outputs to tight timeframes in a fast-paced environment.
• You need strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to work independently to manage competing priorities.
• You must be able to work collaboratively across different teams and effectively contribute to team outcomes.
• You must be a motivated officer who demonstrates initiative, reliability and accountability.

Must have

• You must be able to hold a minimum Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) security clearance, though an NV2 is preferred

Desirable

• Prior experience in government, international development, or infrastructure policy/programs.
